ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET
Richard will be riding a Royal Enfield 500cc bullet which he has owned for the last 7 years. Although he sold it once, he then bought it back, much to his wife's annoyance. It was clear that he and the motorbike were not to be parted.
The bike is completely standard and in excellent condition, and although it has already completed 14,000 kilometres, the engine has not been touched - it remains to be seen whether this trip changes that. Although Richard has a small collection including two BSAs and a very personalised Royal Enfield 350 bullet, the 500 is ideally suited for long distance touring. I've just stumbled onto this page and thought an addition ought to be typed. Rich typed the above out about his bike! Engine never apart? Talk about tempting fate ;-) HONDA Mr Evans.............HONDA!

HONDA TRANSALP
Simon will be riding a 2001 Honda 650 Transalp that he bought from his friend Ian. Ian tends to be as obsessive-compulsive as Simon when it comes to bikes, so Simon knew that the bike would be in good condition. However, he is currently making several modifications that will make the bike even better-suited to the long ride ahead, including the fitting of crash bars, extra lights and some alloy panniers.
Simon always tells people that Richard's choice of bike for the trip is fine and that it should make it with no problems, but when asked if he'll be taking his own Enfield on the trip, always replies with, "don't be silly - I'm taking the Honda!". He fully anticipates using one of his panniers for Richard's spares and tool kit.
