About Our Charities

During Simon's numerous visits to India, he saw - as do so many people who visit the country - that the gulf between rich and poor is massive. On his first visit to Asha, Simon was struck by the phenomenal difference the charity made to the health, environment and education of slum dwellers in Delhi. This ignited a desire to help and he has volunteered for months at a time, working both at the Asha headquarters and in numerous slum areas. The charity often has teams of volunteers visiting from the UK (many of you may remember him!).

You can go to www.asha-india.org to learn more about Asha's work. Simon has seen firsthand how far money can go to help people in the slums, and would be delighted if you can support his attempt to help.

Simon has set up a JustGiving site where you can donate securely online, and see the fundraising progress.

Richard has supported Weston Hospicecare for nearly ten years. He will always be grateful for the outstanding support and care that the hospice gave his long time personal assistant and secretary Margaret Copp when she was terminally ill, and he's excited about the opportunity to raise a large amount of money for the organisation by doing this trip.

His previous fundraising activities have included sponsored walks, firewalking, and his first trip to India.

You can visit www.westonhospicecare.org.uk to learn more about the organisation and the care it provides. Richard has seen how much the hospice can help people who are desperately ill, and will be extremely thankful if you can help him to reach the fundraising target for this trip.
